Eligibility & fees

  • Posts: 575 Senior Resident/Tutor posts across 10 medical departments in Bihar government medical colleges and hospitals.
  • Age: minimum 21 years as on 1 August 2026.
  • Education: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB (or equivalent) in the speciality applied for, as per the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualification of Faculty) Regulations, 2025. Candidates who have already completed a 3-year tenure as Senior Resident/Tutor in the same subject cannot apply again — an affidavit to that effect is required.
  • Selection: no written test. Merit is prepared from academic and experience points, followed by counselling and document verification.
  • Tenure and pay: three-year tenure appointment; advertised remuneration ₹1,15,000 per month.
  • Editing: the online application can be edited on 24 November 2026 (till 11:59 PM) — only for candidates who registered and paid in time.
  • ₹2,250 counselling fee for every category — UR, EWS, EBC, BC, SC, ST and PwD alike.
  • Pay online only (debit/credit card, net banking or UPI) by 23 November 2026, 11:59 PM. The fee is not refunded.

Photo & signature — what the form asks

  • The prospectus does not print a fixed KB size for the photo and signature — upload them in the format and size the portal asks for on the upload screen.
  • Upload a recent, high-contrast colour photograph and a clear signature scan.
  • Upload only clear, readable scans; a blurred photo or signature can get the form rejected.

Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts

Do this

  • Register with your own or your parents' email ID and mobile number, and verify both with OTP.
  • Choose your department carefully before the final submit — check the department-wise list in the prospectus.
  • Complete the online editing on 24 November 2026 if anything is wrong — that is the only correction window.
  • Pay the ₹2,250 counselling fee by 23 November 2026, 11:59 PM and download the fee receipt.
  • Keep two copies of the confirmation page and the verification slip — both are needed at document verification.

Avoid this

  • Do not apply if you have already completed a 3-year tenure as Senior Resident/Tutor in the same subject — the affidavit you sign says so.
  • Do not use someone else's email or mobile number — OTP verification and all communication go there.
  • Do not wait for the last day — the fee window and the registration window both close on 23 November 2026.
  • Do not submit the form before the preview — check every detail, because the only edit chance is on 24 November.
  • Do not forget the NOC if you are already in government service.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected

  • Applying after already completing a 3-year SR/Tutor tenure in the same subject — the affidavit bars it.
  • Registering with someone else's email or mobile — all communication goes there.
  • Submitting without a preview — the only edit chance is on 24 November 2026.
  • Forgetting the NOC when already in government service.

How to apply — step by step

  1. Open bceceboard.bihar.gov.in and go to the 'Online Portal of Senior Resident / Tutor under Health Dept.'
  2. Register with your own/father's/mother's email ID and mobile number and verify both with OTP.
  3. Choose your department and fill your personal, contact and educational details.
  4. Upload your scanned colour photograph and signature as the portal asks.
  5. Preview the form, submit it finally, then pay the ₹2,250 counselling fee online.
  6. Download the confirmation page and the fee receipt — keep two copies of each for document verification.
