UP Principal form: photo and signature size — JPG 10-100 KB (Advt 08/2026, 1,475 posts)

UPESSC is hiring 1,475 Principals for aided inter colleges under Advertisement 08/2026 — applications from 23 October to 22 November 2026, correction window till 25 November, and the written exam on 7 January 2027. As with all UPESSC forms, you complete a One Time Registration (OTR) on apply.upessc.org first, then fill the application. For experienced teachers the paperwork is heavier than for a fresher exam — your experience certificates upload too — and every file has a size band: photo and signature as JPG between 10 KB and 100 KB, documents as PDF between 20 KB and 200 KB each.

The photo — JPG, 10 to 100 KB

Upload a recent, clear photograph as a JPG or JPEG file between 10 KB and 100 KB. Phone photos are usually several MB, so compress yours to a target of about 50 KB, the safe middle of the band. Files below 10 KB are rejected too, and a squeezed, blurry face invites trouble at document verification. Plain background, face clear and well lit.

The signature — JPG, 10 to 100 KB, on white paper

Sign in your normal running hand — not block capitals — with a dark pen on plain white paper, scan or photograph only the signature, cropped tight, and keep the JPG or JPEG file between 10 KB and 100 KB. This signature is matched against what you sign at the exam and later stages, so keep it identical to your everyday signature on official records.

Documents and the last check

Your postgraduate and B.Ed certificates — and, crucially for this post, your experience certificates — upload as PDF files, each between 20 KB and 200 KB. Multi-page scans often cross 200 KB; compress the PDF to a target inside the band instead of splitting it into unreadable pieces. Eligibility in one line: a postgraduate degree with 50% marks, B.Ed, and at least 4 years teaching Classes 9-12 as a lecturer or assistant teacher — or 4 years as a high-school headmaster; age 30 to 62 years as on 1 July 2026.
