Privacy Policy

The short version. Your files never leave your device. Every conversion runs inside your own browser, on your own computer or phone. We have no server that receives, stores or looks at your files, no accounts, and no way to identify you. The only third parties involved are the ones any website has: the hosting provider, the content delivery networks that serve the code, and, when shown, Google’s advertising.
1. Your files
When you choose a file, it is read by your browser and converted in your browser’s memory. The result is written to your Downloads folder when you press Download. No part of the file is transmitted to us or to anyone else. You can confirm this in your browser’s developer tools (Network tab): during a conversion you will see the converter libraries being fetched, and nothing being sent.
2. What is stored on your device
- Your files tab keeps a copy of each converted file in your browser’s own storage (IndexedDB) so you can download it again. It stays on your device only. “Clear all” removes it, as does clearing site data in your browser.
- A counter of how many files you have converted, and the date you first used the site, kept in your browser’s local storage for the “files converted here” figure on the home page.
Neither is sent anywhere.
3. Usage counts
To know how the site is used we count two things: that a page was viewed, and that a conversion from one format to another finished (or failed). Each event carries only the page path, the two format names, whether it is your first visit of the day, your device type (phone or desktop) and the site that linked you here. It never carries the file, its name, its size, your IP address or anything that identifies you, and we do not set a cookie for it. Browsers that send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal are not counted at all. The counts are kept as daily totals and are used only to run the site.
4. What we do not collect
We do not ask for a name, email address, account, or payment details. Beyond the counts in section 3 we run no analytics of our own unless stated in section 6. We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not have any.
5. Hosting and content delivery
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like every web host, GitHub may record technical information such as your IP address and browser type in its server logs; see GitHub’s privacy statement. The conversion libraries (for example the PDF renderer or the audio encoder) and the fonts are fetched by your browser from content delivery networks — jsDelivr, cdnjs, unpkg and Google Fonts — the first time they are needed. Those services see the same technical request information. Your files are never part of those requests.
6. Advertising and analytics
We may show advertisements served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Google, and its advertising partners, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure them. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before any personalised advertising cookies are set.
Advertising and analytics scripts never receive the contents of your files.
7. Tips and sponsorship
If you send a tip through UPI, the payment is handled entirely by your UPI app and your bank under their own terms; we receive only what your bank shows the payee. Sponsors, when present, are shown as a name and a link and receive no data about you from us.
8. Children
The site is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the home page for a period.
