UPESSC is hiring 1,172 Headmasters for aided high schools under Advertisement 09/2026 — applications from 23 October to 22 November 2026, correction window till 25 November, and the written exam on 7 January 2027. The route is the standard UPESSC one: One Time Registration (OTR) on apply.upessc.org, then the application form. The uploads follow the commission's usual bands — photo and signature as JPG files between 10 KB and 100 KB, and documents, including your experience certificates, as PDFs between 20 KB and 200 KB each. Most rejections happen on exactly these files, so prepare them before you sit down to fill the form.

The photo — JPG, 10 to 100 KB

Upload a recent, clear photograph as a JPG or JPEG file between 10 KB and 100 KB. A phone photo will be far larger than that, so compress it to a target of about 50 KB — mid-band is the safe landing spot. Do not squeeze it below 10 KB either; undersize files are rejected too, and a blurry face creates problems when your documents are verified. Plain background, face clear.

The signature — JPG, 10 to 100 KB, on white paper

Sign in running handwriting, the way you sign official records — not in block capital letters — with a dark pen on plain white paper. Scan or photograph just the signature, cropped tight, and keep the JPG or JPEG file between 10 KB and 100 KB. The same signature is expected at the exam, so do not invent a new one for the form.

Documents and the last check

Certificates upload as PDF files, each between 20 KB and 200 KB — postgraduate degree, B.Ed or B.P.Ed, and your experience certificates. If a scan crosses 200 KB, compress the PDF to a target inside the band rather than splitting it. Eligibility in one line: a postgraduate degree with 50% marks, B.Ed or B.P.Ed, and at least 4 years teaching Classes 9-12 as a lecturer or assistant teacher — or 4 years as a junior high school headmaster; age 30 to 62 years as on 1 July 2026. Final check before you submit: photo 10-100 KB, signature 10-100 KB, every PDF 20-200 KB. Everything above is free to prepare in your browser; the files never leave your device.
