• Chief Law Assistant (17 posts) — Law degree with 3 years' standing practice as a Pleader at the Bar. Age 18–40. Pay Level 7, ₹44,900. Medical C-1. (Serving Railway law graduates with 5 years' service and Railway Magistrates can also apply.)
• Public Prosecutor (21) — Bachelor's degree in Law with 5 years' standing as an advocate at the Bar. Age 18–32. Level 7, ₹44,900. Medical C-1.
• Senior Publicity Inspector (8) — Degree plus Diploma in Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism or Mass Communication; 2 years' related experience desirable. Age 18–33. Level 6, ₹35,400. Medical C-1.
• Junior Translator/Hindi (79) — Master's degree in Hindi or English, with the other language as a subject or medium at degree level, plus a recognised Hindi–English translation diploma/certificate or 2 years' translation experience. Age 18–33. Level 6, ₹35,400. Medical C-2.
• Staff and Welfare Inspector (27) — Graduation plus any one of: Diploma in Labour/Social Welfare, Diploma in Labour Laws, LLB with Labour Law papers, PG Diploma in Personnel Management, MBA with Personnel Management, MBA/HR, or PG Diploma in HRM. Age 18–33. Level 6, ₹35,400. Medical C-1.
• Scientific Assistant (Training) (3) — Master's degree in Psychology with 50% marks. Age 18–35. Level 6, ₹35,400. Medical B-1.
• Lab Assistant Grade III, Chemist & Metallurgist (36) — 12th pass with Physics and Chemistry. Age 18–30. Level 2, ₹19,900. Medical B-1.
• Age is counted as on 1 January 2027. All 191 posts are provisional — they can increase, decrease or become nil.
• Selection: single-stage CBT, then Translation Test (Junior Translator only), Document Verification and Medical.
• General / OBC / EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after you appear in the CBT, less bank charges).
• SC / ST / Ex-servicemen / PwBD / Women / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: ₹250 (fully refunded after you appear in the CBT, less bank charges).
• Fee is paid online only (net banking, debit/credit card or UPI). The refund goes to your Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

Photo & signature — what the form asks

• Photo: NO upload — it is captured LIVE by webcam or the phone's front camera during the form. Plain white background, dark-coloured clothes, no cap, mask or spectacles, and your head should cover at least half the frame.
• Signature: JPG/JPEG, 30-49 KB, minimum 140 x 60 pixels, black ink, running handwriting (no block capitals), scanned at 100 DPI or more.
• SC/ST candidates claiming the free travel pass: caste certificate as a PDF under 400 KB.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected

• A name or date-of-birth mismatch between Aadhaar and the Class 10 certificate
• Choosing the wrong RRB — it stays locked forever; the correction window cannot change it
• A signature outside the 30-49 KB band — under 30 KB fails just like over 49 KB
• Applying before your qualification is complete — result-awaited candidates are not eligible

What is the last date to apply for RRB Ministerial & Isolated Categories?

Do I have to upload a photograph?

No. In this form the photo is captured live through the camera while you apply. Sit before a plain, light background, face the light and keep your full face clearly visible — there is no photo file to prepare.

Can I correct the form after submitting?

How many posts are there in CEN 09/2026?

191 Ministerial and Isolated category posts. The short indicative notice had said about 195, but the detailed notification confirms 191 — Junior Translator/Hindi has the most at 79, followed by Lab Assistant Grade III at 36.

My signature file is 25 KB. Is that acceptable?

No — the band is 30-49 KB, and a file under 30 KB is rejected just as firmly as one over the limit. Compress to a target of about 40 KB.

What is the Translation Test for Junior Translator?

It is qualifying only, with 60% pass marks. Only Junior Translator/Hindi candidates take it; the merit list uses CBT marks alone.
