3,047 apprentice seats across 24 work centres — apply free on the NAPS/NATS portal by 20 November 2026.
Form open
Check first: This is apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 — not a permanent job. A monthly stipend is paid during the 12-month training, and completing it does not guarantee a regular ONGC post.

Eligibility & fees
- Age 18–24 years as on 29 November 2026 (born between 29 November 2002 and 29 November 2008). Relaxation: SC/ST +5 years, OBC (NCL) +3 years, PwBD +10 to 15 years as per rules.
- Qualification is trade-wise: 10th pass for trades like Library Assistant; ITI in the relevant trade for COPA, Electrician, Fitter and similar trades; 12th or ITI for Fire Safety Technician; B.Sc (Chemistry) for Lab Chemist; BBA for Executive (HR); any graduate for Secretarial Assistant; a 3-year Diploma or Degree for the diploma/graduate executive trades; a Geology degree for Petroleum Executive.
- You must not have completed 3 years since passing the qualifying examination, and the district-of-residence rules in the advertisement decide which work centre you can choose.
- Selection is on the merit of qualifying-examination marks, followed by document verification — there is no written test. The advertisement gives 15 December 2026 as the result/selection date.
- Stipend during the 12-month training: Graduate apprentice ₹12,300/month, 3-year Diploma ₹10,900, 2-year ITI ₹10,560, 1-year ITI ₹9,600, Trade apprentice (10th/12th) ₹8,200.
- No application fee is mentioned in the advertisement — applications are made only through the NAPS portal (ITI/trade seats) or the NATS portal (diploma/graduate seats).
Photo & signature — what the form asks
- The advertisement does not print a fixed KB size for the photo and signature — upload them in the format and size the portal asks for on the upload screen.
- Keep a recent colour photograph and a clear signature scan (signed on white paper) ready before you start.
- Upload only clear, readable scans; a blurred photo or signature can get the form rejected.
Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts
Do this
- Register on the correct portal — NAPS for ITI/trade seats, NATS for diploma/graduate seats.
- Choose the trade and work centre your district and qualification actually allow.
- Keep your NAPS/NATS registration number safe; it is needed throughout.
- Apply well before 20 November — there is no fee window or correction window after it.
- Keep the qualifying-exam marksheet ready; selection is purely on its marks.
Avoid this
- Do not treat this as a permanent ONGC job — it is 12-month apprenticeship training.
- Do not pay anyone for this application — the advertisement charges no fee.
- Do not apply if 3 years have already passed since your qualifying exam.
- Do not apply for a trade your qualification does not match.
- Do not wait for a correction window — the advertisement announces none.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected
- Registering on the wrong portal — ITI candidates on NATS or graduates on NAPS — so the ONGC application never links.
- Choosing a work centre outside the district the advertisement allows for your residence.
- Applying after 3 years have passed since the qualifying exam, which makes the candidate ineligible.
- Assuming the training converts into a permanent post — the advertisement gives no such guarantee.
