Eligibility & fees

  • 1,260 posts: Junior Engineer (Electric/Electrical), post code 809/26 — 185 (Delhi Transco 75, NDMC 67, MCD 26, DUSIB 14, Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board 3); Multi-Tasking Staff, post code 810/26 — 1,075 (mostly the Education department, including MTS-Aaya Female 239).
  • JE: a Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2 years' professional experience (with department-wise variations in the notice). MTS: Matriculation (10th pass).
  • Age, reckoned on the closing date 11 December 2026: MTS 18–27 years in every department; JE 18–27 years in most departments and 18–32 in NDMC. Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (Delhi) 3 years, PwBD 10 years.
  • One-time OARS registration on dsssbonline.nic.in is compulsory before applying — only one registration and one application are permitted.
  • Selection: JE — two-tier technical examination (Tier-I is for shortlisting only; merit is on Tier-II). MTS — one-tier general examination. Negative marking: 0.25 for a 1-mark question and 0.50 for a 2-mark question. Minimum qualifying marks: General/EWS 40%, OBC (Delhi) 35%, SC/ST/PwBD 30%.
  • Application fee: ₹100 only, payable only through SBI e-pay.
  • Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen candidates pay no fee. The fee once paid is not refunded.

Photo & signature — what the form asks

  • Photo: a recent, clear colour photograph — plain white or off-white background, full face, front view, eyes open. The advertisement fixes no KB or pixel size for the photo or the signature.
  • Signature: keep it clear and legible — a blurred or illegible photo/signature is a stated reason for rejection. Supporting documents are NOT uploaded with the application; they are called later through the e-dossier.
  • For the OARS registration's photo-identity proof (only if you scan one instead of using Aadhaar): JPG/JPEG, each file 15 KB to 60 KB — minimum resolution 300 x 200 px for PAN/Driving Licence, 200 x 300 px for Voter Card, 450 x 350 px for Passport.

Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts

Do this

  • Complete the OARS one-time registration very carefully — the name, gender and father's name entered there can never be edited
  • Use a fresh colour photo with a plain white/off-white background, face straight to the camera
  • Keep the scanned identity proof inside 15-60 KB, at the resolution the notice fixes for your ID type
  • Check the department-wise age limit and eligibility for your exact post code before paying the fee

Avoid this

  • Do not submit in a hurry — after submission no change, not even of category, is allowed at all
  • Do not register twice on OARS or apply twice — multiple applications mean cancellation and debarment
  • Outside-Delhi OBC candidates should not count on OBC reservation — only OBC (Delhi) gets it
  • Do not upload a blurred photo or one with a cropped face — it is a stated rejection reason

Taiyaari checklist — keep these ready

  • OARS one-time registration completed on dsssbonline.nic.in
  • Recent colour photo ready (plain white/off-white background, full face)
  • Signature scan ready, clear and legible
  • Aadhaar number handy — or the ID-proof scan in the 15-60 KB band
  • Degree/diploma (for JE) or 10th certificate (for MTS) details ready for the later e-dossier stage

Documents you will need

  • Photo — recent colour, white/off-white background (no fixed KB in the notice)
  • Signature — clear scan
  • Photo-identity proof for OARS — JPG/JPEG, 15-60 KB (or use the Aadhaar number)
  • Certificates are uploaded later via e-dossier, not with the form

Form Kit — prepare every file here, free

Identity proof — set target 40 KB

The ID-proof scan used at OARS registration must sit in the 15-60 KB band. Compress it here with the target set to 40 KB.

Photo — keep the file light

The notice fixes no KB band for the photo, but a very heavy scan can fail at upload. Compress it here and keep the face clear and full-frame.

Certificates — PDF for the e-dossier

Documents are called later through the e-dossier, not with the form. Keep clean PDFs ready; compress a large one here.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected

  • A wrong detail in the OARS registration — name, gender and father's name there can never be edited
  • Submitting the form with a wrong category — after submission, the category cannot be changed under any circumstances
  • Applying without checking the department-wise age limit for your exact post code
  • Registering or applying more than once — it leads to cancellation and debarment

How to apply — step by step

  1. Complete the one-time OARS registration on dsssbonline.nic.in
  2. From 12 November 2026 (12:00 noon), open the Advt 06/2026 application for post code 809/26 (JE) or 810/26 (MTS)
  3. Fill in your details and upload the photo and signature
  4. Pay the ₹100 fee through SBI e-pay (women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen are exempt)
  5. Submit by 11 December 2026 (11:59 PM) and save the application copy — nothing can be changed afterwards
