Eligibility & fees
- Posts: Head Constable (GD) 182 — Male 150, Female 32; Constable (GD) 339 — Male 258, Female 81 — across 22 sports disciplines. These are Group-C posts, temporary at first and likely to be made permanent.
- Education: Head Constable — 10+2 (Intermediate); Constable — Class 10. On top of this, the meritorious-sportsperson condition is compulsory: the medal/participation at the level listed in the advertisement must fall between 30 September 2024 and 30 September 2026, and the qualification and sports certificates must be held by 11 November 2026.
- Age 18–23 years as on 1 August 2026, with category relaxations as per rules. Note: one paragraph of the printed notice shows a different reckoning date, but the main eligibility para and the Hindi advertisement both use 1 August 2026 — follow the advertisement and the portal.
- Selection: documentation and biometric verification, Physical Standard Test, Sports Trial Test (qualifying only, no marks; a dope test is possible), then merit purely on sports-certificate marks, followed by medical examination. There is NO written exam.
- Pay: Head Constable Level-4 ₹25,500–81,100; Constable Level-3 ₹21,700–69,100.
- ₹100 for male candidates of UR, OBC and EWS categories.
- All women candidates, and SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen, are exempt from the fee.
- Pay online by 11 November 2026; the fee is not refundable.
Photo & signature — what the form asks
- The advertisement does not print a numeric KB size for the photo and signature — upload them in the size and format the rect.crpf.gov.in portal asks for.
- A blurred photograph or signature is a stated ground for rejection — upload sharp, clear scans.
- Keep the sports certificates ready as clear scans; originals are checked at the documentation stage.
Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts
Do this
- Check your sport is among the 22 disciplines and your medal/participation is within 30 September 2024 – 30 September 2026.
- Apply by 11 November 2026, 11:59 PM, and use the correction window of 12–14 November for any mistake.
- Keep original sports certificates ready — merit is made only from certificate marks.
- Match the education level to the post: 12th for Head Constable, 10th for Constable.
- Fill your sports achievements exactly as printed on the certificates.
Avoid this
- Do not apply on general sports interest alone — without the listed medal/participation level, the form will fail at documentation.
- Do not wait for a written exam stage — there is none in this recruitment.
- Do not upload a blurred photo or signature; the notice treats it as a rejection ground.
- Do not miss the short correction window (12–14 November 2026).
- Do not claim an achievement dated after 30 September 2026 or before 30 September 2024.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected
- Applying with sports achievements outside the 30 September 2024 – 30 September 2026 window.
- Choosing Head Constable with only a 10th certificate — it needs 10+2.
- Assuming these are open general-duty posts; they are only for meritorious sportspersons in 22 disciplines.
- Leaving a wrong detail uncorrected after 14 November 2026.
