Photo & signature — what the form asks

  • Photograph: recent colour photo, 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm, 200 × 230 pixels, JPG, 20–50 KB.
  • Live photograph: a live photo is also captured during the application — fill the form yourself, in good light, so the live capture matches your uploaded photo.
  • Signature: sign with black ink on white paper — NOT in capital letters — and scan at 140 × 60 pixels, JPG, 10–20 KB.
  • Left thumb impression: on white paper, scanned at 240 × 240 pixels at 200 DPI, JPG, 20–50 KB.
  • Hand-written declaration: write the declaration text in your own handwriting in English (not in capitals), scan at 800 × 400 pixels at 200 DPI, JPG, 50–100 KB.
  • Other documents: PDF files of up to 500 KB each; scan documents at a minimum of 200 DPI.

Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts

Do this

  • Apply on the notification of your own UT — J&K and Ladakh have separate notifications and separate post counts.
  • Keep all five uploads ready in exact size: photo, live photo, signature, thumb impression and hand-written declaration.
  • Write the declaration by hand in your own handwriting — a typed declaration is rejected.
  • Check your domicile certificate before applying; without UT domicile the form is not valid.
  • Fill the form in good light so the live photograph capture is clear.

Avoid this

  • Do not sign in CAPITAL letters — such signatures are rejected.
  • Do not apply if you are not a domicile of J&K or Ladakh UT.
  • Do not upload someone else's photo or a selfie in place of the scanned photo.
  • Do not miss that the PO and Banking Associate have different fees and different exams.
  • Do not leave the form for 26 November evening — fee payment closes with the application.

Taiyaari checklist — keep these ready

  • Photo (200 × 230 px, 20–50 KB) ready, and good light for the live photo
  • Signature scan (140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB) — black ink, no capitals
  • Left thumb impression (240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB) ready
  • Hand-written declaration (800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB) written and scanned
  • Graduation degree and marksheets scanned (PDF, up to 500 KB each)
  • UT domicile certificate scanned
  • Caste / SEBC / PwBD certificate scanned, if applicable

Documents you will need

Common mistakes that get forms rejected

  • Applying on the other UT's notification — the 1,356 J&K posts and 41 Ladakh posts are separate notifications.
  • Signature in capital letters, or a declaration that is typed instead of hand-written.
  • Forgetting the live photograph — applying from a dark room or through someone else leads to a mismatch.
  • Applying without a domicile certificate of the UT and getting rejected at verification.

How to apply — step by step

  1. Open jkb.bank.in, go to Careers and open the PO or Banking Associate notification for your UT.
  2. Register with your email and mobile number.
  3. Fill the form, upload the photo and capture the live photograph in good light.
  4. Upload the signature, left thumb impression and hand-written declaration in the exact pixel and KB sizes.
  5. Pay the fee online (PO ₹1,200 / BA ₹800, less for reserved categories) and submit before 26 November 2026.
  6. Save the registration number and the application print.
