Eligibility & fees

  • Posts: 1,501 in all — 195 Class-II posts (Advt 1/2026) and 1,306 Class-III & IV posts (Advt 2/2026). The notice itself does not print a grand total; 1,501 is the sum of the post-wise figures. The biggest post is Data Entry Operator — 609 seats across the three companies (CSPDCL 450, CSPGCL 95, CSPTCL 64).
  • Age as on 1 January 2026: minimum 21 years for Class-II and most Class-III posts, 18 years for Junior Engineer, Lab Technician, Radiographer, Dresser, ECG Technician, Attendant (Plant) and Fire Attendant. Maximum: 40 years for UR male (Chhattisgarh domicile), 45 for UR female and SC/ST/OBC; Fire Officer and Sub Fire Officer 30/35; Fire Attendant 25/30. Candidates from outside Chhattisgarh can apply only for Class-II posts, with a maximum age of 30.
  • Domicile: all Class-III and IV posts are only for Chhattisgarh domicile candidates. Class-II posts are open to candidates from outside the state too.
  • Education (post-wise): Assistant Engineer — 4-year B.E./B.Tech in the relevant branch; Junior Engineer — 3-year Diploma or engineering degree in the branch; Data Entry Operator — B.E./B.Tech or Master's in CS/IT, or B.Sc (CS/IT)/BCA, or any bachelor's degree plus a listed computer course; Medical Officer — MBBS with Medical Council of India registration; Accounts Officer — CA or CMA; Attendant (Plant) — 10th pass (Second Division) + 2-year ITI in the trade; Fire Attendant — 12th with Chemistry + NCC B/C certificate. Qualifications must be held on the last date of application.
  • Selection: online CBT — 2 hours, 100 MCQs (80 professional subject + 20 General Knowledge/English/Hindi/Reasoning or Quantitative Ability), −0.25 per wrong answer, qualifying 40% (UR/OBC) or 30% (SC/ST). Then, by post: interview (10 marks) for Assistant Engineer/Accounts/Medical/Programmer/Shift Chemist, physical fitness test for fire and security posts, typing/shorthand tests for Data Entry Operator and Stenographer, and document verification. CBT centres: Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai, Ambikapur and Jagdalpur.
  • Service conditions: after selection you sign a bond to serve the power companies for at least four years, with a security deposit — ₹3 lakh for Assistant Engineer-level posts, ₹2 lakh for Junior Engineer, ₹1 lakh for other Class-III posts, ₹50,000 for Class-IV. The National Pension System (NPS) applies after regularisation.
  • The whole recruitment is subject to the final outcome of SLP(C) 19668/2022 in the Supreme Court — category-wise numbers may change on that account.
  • ₹800 for UR, ₹700 for OBC, ₹600 for SC/ST — for Assistant Engineer, Fire Officer, Security Officer, Shift Chemist, Programmer, Accounts Officer, Medical Officer, Law Officer, Industrial Relation Officer, Junior Engineer, Sub Fire Officer, Security Inspector and Security Sub Inspector.
  • ₹400 for UR, ₹300 for OBC, ₹200 for SC/ST — for Stenographer, Lab Technician, Pharmacist, Staff Nurse, Radiographer, Data Entry Operator, Dresser, ECG Technician, Attendant (Plant) and Fire Attendant.
  • Regular employees of the three power companies pay no fee.
  • The fee is non-refundable and is paid online only (debit/credit card, net banking or UPI) by 26 November 2026, 11:55 PM.

Photo & signature — what the form asks

  • The notice does not print a fixed KB size for the photo and signature — upload them in the format and size the portal asks for on the upload screen.
  • Keep a recent colour photograph and a clear signature scan (signed on white paper) ready before you start.
  • Upload only clear, readable scans; a blurred photo or signature can get the form rejected.

Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts

Do this

  • Check which Class your post is in before paying the fee — the fee is different for the two groups (₹800/₹700/₹600 vs ₹400/₹300/₹200).
  • If you are from outside Chhattisgarh, apply only for a Class-II post — Class-III and IV posts are CG-domicile only.
  • Give your company preferences (1st, 2nd, 3rd) for posts common to all three companies — no change of company is entertained later.
  • Apply before 26 November 2026, 11:55 PM — the form opens at 8 PM on 6 November and there is no correction window in the notice.
  • For Data Entry Operator and Stenographer, check the typing/shorthand requirement (5,000/10,000 key depressions per hour, shorthand 100 wpm) before applying.

Avoid this

  • Do not apply for a Class-III or IV post if you are not a Chhattisgarh domicile candidate — the application will be rejected.
  • Do not apply for more than one branch in Assistant Engineer or Junior Engineer — only one branch is allowed.
  • Do not register twice for the same post — a duplicate registration can lead to cancellation without notice.
  • Do not carry a mobile phone, calculator or watch into the CBT hall — they are prohibited and can get you debarred.
  • Do not forget the 4-year service bond and security deposit — read the service conditions before you apply.

Taiyaari checklist — keep these ready

  • 10th, 12th, diploma/degree certificates and marksheets (as per your post)
  • Chhattisgarh domicile certificate (for Class-III and IV posts)
  • Caste certificate (permanent, for SC/ST) and non-creamy layer + income certificate (OBC)
  • Recent colour photograph and signature scan
  • Fee payment mode ready (debit/credit card, net banking or UPI)
  • Company preferences decided (for posts common to all three companies)

Documents you will need

  • 10th marksheet/certificate (date of birth proof)
  • 12th marksheet/certificate
  • Diploma/Degree marksheets and certificates
  • Chhattisgarh domicile certificate (Class-III & IV)
  • Caste / non-creamy layer / income certificate (where applicable)
  • NOC from employer if you are a government/PSU employee
  • Registration certificates where the post requires them (Medical Officer, Pharmacist, Nursing, Paramedical)

  • Paying the wrong fee — the fee differs between the two post groups, so check your post's group first.
  • Applying for a Class-III/IV post without a Chhattisgarh domicile certificate.
  • Applying for two branches in Assistant Engineer or Junior Engineer — only one branch is allowed.
  • Registering twice for the same post — it can cancel the application without notice.
