Eligibility & fees
- Posts (tentative): Regular schools 2,111 — School Assistant 906 and SGT 1,205; Special Education 350 — School Assistant (Special Education) 150 and SGT (Special Education) 200; Societies and other managements 260 — TGT 113, PGT 81, PET 34, Principal 30, Physical Director 2.
- Age 18–44 years as on 1 July 2026. Relaxation: SC/ST/BC/EWS up to 49 years, PwBD up to 54 years.
- Qualification is post-wise under G.O.Ms.No.52 and G.O.Ms.No.50 dated 4 November 2026 — Degree/PG with B.Ed or D.El.Ed as the post requires. APTET/CTET qualification is compulsory for SGT, School Assistant (non-language) and TGT posts as applicable, and RCI registration is compulsory for Special Education posts.
- Selection: a Computer Based Test (APTRT-2026) between 20 December 2026 and 13 January 2027. For School Assistant, SGT and TGT, merit is 80% CBT + 20% APTET/CTET weightage; Principal, PGT, Physical Director and PET are decided 100% on the CBT. Document verification follows.
- Pay is as per the Andhra Pradesh state rules for the respective teacher post; the notification does not print a separate pay figure in its summary.
- ₹1,000 per post applied for, paid online on the portal along with the application.
- Applications and fee payment both run from 11 November to 30 November 2026 — a form without the fee is not complete.
Photo & signature — what the form asks
- The advertisement does not print a fixed KB size for the photo and signature — upload them in the format and size the portal asks for on the upload screen.
- Keep a recent colour photograph and a clear signature scan (signed on white paper) ready before you start.
- Upload only clear, readable scans; a blurred photo or signature can get the form rejected.
Photo & signature — do’s and don’ts
Do this
- Apply only for posts whose qualification and APTET/CTET paper you actually match.
- Remember the fee is per post — budget ₹1,000 for every post you apply to.
- Choose the district and management (regular / society) carefully; it decides where the post sits.
- Keep APTET/CTET certificate and RCI registration (for Special Education) ready before applying.
- Finish both application and fee payment by 30 November 2026.
Avoid this
- Do not apply for SGT/SA/TGT without the APTET/CTET qualification the post needs.
- Do not assume one fee covers all posts — it is charged per post.
- Do not mix up Paper-I and Paper-II of APTET/CTET; the wrong paper makes the application invalid for that post.
- Do not wait for the last day — fee and application close together on 30 November.
- Do not enter marks differently from the memo; verification is strict.

Common mistakes that get forms rejected
- Applying to several posts but paying the fee for only one — unpaid applications are not considered.
- Selecting the wrong APTET/CTET paper for the post (Paper-I vs Paper-II).
- Choosing the wrong district or management, which cannot be treated like a small typo later.
- Special Education candidates applying without RCI registration.
