Questions
- How do I set it as a ringtone on Android?
- Save the MP3, then Settings › Sound › Phone ringtone › add from files, or copy it into the Ringtones folder.
- And on iPhone?
- iPhone does not accept MP3 ringtones directly. Save the clip, then add it through GarageBand or iTunes/Finder as a tone.
- What format does it save?
- MP3, which Android accepts directly. For an iPhone, keep the clip 30 seconds or shorter and add it through iTunes, Finder or GarageBand.
- Can I fade the ends?
- Yes — set fade-in and fade-out times and the clip eases in and out instead of starting and stopping abruptly.
- How long should a ringtone be?
- Thirty seconds or less: iPhones reject longer ones, and on Android a short clip simply loops. The "30 s ringtone" button sets it for you.
